2 weeks 2 soon!

Only two weeks until departure! Wow am I getting nervous. As of now I still do not have my study permit which is require of me to enter the country if I want to study... although that is a HUGE problem, I think it is my only one right now. The cell phone situation is all figured out, I just have to wait for it to be delivered before I leave and my bank account is in the process of being worked out!

A few days ago I found out that I wont be shuttled straight to my accommodation the night my flight arrives, but I'll have to stay at a lodge for the night and be picked up in the morning. I was extremely worried about this, and even contemplated not telling my parents about it because I knew they would just worry about me (and what if I couldn't get in touch with them). But in the end it all worked out so that all the students arriving at that same time will be staying over night that way I won't be alone! A girl from Ohio got in touch with me seeing that I was concerned about the whole situation and mentioned that she was glad she could finally talk to someone else who is going to be in PE. I gave her a huge thank you for getting in touch with me because she is the only person as of now that I know will be studying at the same school! And she is from Ohio! Small world!

This week I am still giving football tours and hanging around up at school, spending time with my favorite people (whom I will dearly miss!!!)

I still have a lot of packing to do. I've been working on taking some things home and slowly gathering what I am taking with me. I don't really know what I am going to need as of now. I'm undecided when it comes to things like a bedspread? That to me seems like I can buy a cheap one there and leave it when I make my trip back.

I am also afraid of (well a lot of things) what to pack in my carry on bag. My mom read up on the airport I am stopping at between Washington and South Africa and there was nothing but negative comments. Apparently, the employees distract you so that they can take your wallet and other valuables that you might not realize are gone for some time. I suppose a lot of places are like this, but the fact is I am going to look out of place and alone so I just need to be on guard for the entire journey there and back.

The warm weather that I will be soon making my way into seems almost like a dream. I have to pull out my bathing suits from last year and pack them? It seems so unreasonable with all this snow on the ground now!

That's all I have for now, but the coming weeks are going to go by super fast and I am going to use every minute to spend time with my family and friends!!!
